A California native, Steve Francis has created his photographic niche by giving corporate
clients and print collectors alike ethereal images that migrate far beyond normal
expectations -- urban landscapes like large scale freeway projects--that bring a surreal
interpretation to concrete forms. Suburban scenes and details that transform ordinary farm
machinery into classic studies of detail and landscape. Extensive photographic studies
including the little known (or seen) Orange County Canyonlands. The resulting photographs
were instrumental in bringing about significant changes in preservation policies within the
southland. Clients don't turn to Steve Francis for normal assignment photography; they look for the edge that helps transform mere documentation into major design elements -- memorable images that help sway voters, win approval for their projects, or whip up popular support for conservation and preservation causes. |
